About Us

Waterloo House is a 24 bed residential care home for the elderly, registered with the Care Quality Commission.

The home is located in a quiet residential area within 5 minutes walk of The Embankment, and a short distance from the town centre.

Each room is fully furnished and we are happy to make changes to the decor to suit personal preferences. Residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with items of furniture, pictures, ornaments etc.

We believe that this helps to provide a homely atmosphere and maintains individuality. The conservatory provides a bright and pleasant communal area where people can relax and socialise. There is also a quiet lounge on the first floor for reading, entertaining visitors etc. if preferred.

I used to chair the Residents Meetings every month, and there was never any problems getting things done. There are plenty of activities & trips out provided. I still visit regularly and bring my dog, Max as therapy which they love. I would recommend Waterloo House to anyone!”
